Hello I'm Datta Kaur Khalsa, your course instructor.

I would like you to get to know me a bit better. As you read this page you will notice that I have always been interested in kids, especially their education and the effects it will have on their future as caring human beings and wonderful additions to the communities we build in our society.

Today the technology is growing vastly and quickly. It's exciting, especially as it relates to educational reform and the more active self-managing role of the learner and the facilitative, guiding role of the teachers.

As I continue to apply my 27 plus years of educational experience, teaching and philosophy to the use of these technological tools, I hope to get to know you well. I want to learn of your individual needs and the plans you have for your future.

So please take this time to write 2-3 paragraphs about yourself. Be sure to note a part of you that we would probably be surprised to learn. And if you would like some help adding a bit of humor, please click on the "street sign" link and pick one that "you can relate to."

By the way if I were to choose one of those street signs, I would guess it to be "yield." I am in a time in my life where I am less in the role of "total mom" and more on my way to "total career" again, even though we never lose the 'mom' title, do we?

I am again grateful for the flexibility of time and space this technology has brought to my continued learning, including the future learning that I will have in this class with you.
